Description: BACPAC_CS_6_payor for encounter detail (CS-COCOA cohort patients) submission for SKIPPY rows (excel rows 22, a proxy for this variable) file type: tall file (multiple rows per patient per if surgery, BL, Last visit with a COCOA diagnosis.
all patients part of the COCOA cohort with COCOA diagnosis at an encounter in Medical Record Data Base).
PAT_ID CONTACT_DATE (same as encounter date) VISIT_TYPE (BL=Base Line COCOA, Surgery, and Last_COCOA_visit for that patient)
See SAS attached listing for classifications of Payor1 and Payor2.
Note for each patient, where date on row of Surgery (indicated) is prior to (before) the row date of BL (Base Line visit date) then likely It is either: 1) diagnosis was not provided at the surgery as a COCOA and patient has a follow-up that is COCOA DXs. 2) none of primary diagnosis associated with the surgery encounter were COCOA dx). Likely patient was initially seen in the ED-OR (trauma, acute) then was seen in clinic as a follow-up where a primary target diagnoses was assigned (as COCOA dx targets).
There are few patients that had this scenario of encounters-- document notes…
